Global Motors’ photographers have snapped the clearest pictures yet of the upcoming CLK successor from Mercedes-Benz. Called the E coupe, the car take styling cues from the future-classic CLS class, which launched the current wave of 4-door coupes from Audi, Volkswagen, Aston Martin, and BMW.

John Neff writes: We’ve seen so many spy shots of the upcoming 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class that these official images hardly move us. Yet here they are, (grainy) images leaked onto the web that reportedly reveal the final production form of the 2010 E-Class, which makes its official debut in January.

German car magazine Autozeitung is claiming to have the first official photo of the next-generation Mercedes E-Class in its latest September issue. According to Autozeitung, the above image has not been digitally enhanced in any way – and until someone provides substantial proof otherwise, we have no reason to doubt them.
Earlier this month, online bloggers posted photos that showed drivers Mika Häkkinen and Klaus Ludwig testing the new 2010 Mercedes E-Class. eMercedesBenz posted some new “spy video” showing the pair in action.

MB’s E63 AMG is still under development according to these latest spy shots taken by WCF’s photographers at the Nurburgring. It still carries a good bit of camo, but there won’t be many surprises in the styling department after Mercedes’ Concept FASCINATION reveal (covered HERE).
We’ll have to wait and see what changes AMG have made to the E’s running gear.
Edmunds.com recently posted video of what appears to be an E63 mule outside of the Nurburgring. The narrator speculates a bit as to what engine is underhood during the video, but comments on the Edmunds site about a supercharged version of the 6.3 AMG engine are probably unwarranted.
