An otherwise bone stock, tune only 2012 Mercedes E 63 ran an incredible 11.15 @ 126.7 mph quarter mile this past weekend at Palm Beach International Raceway. The E63 dynoyed an impressive 578.33 horsepower and 621.93 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels (680 horsepower and 732 ft-lbs of torque at the crank) with the RENNtech tune installed. That is a 100 horsepower gain over stock!
The run was made with the stock exhaust, stock wheels and OEM street tires in 80 degree temps with damp track conditions. Needless to say, we expect quite a bit more out of the new biturbo E63 and will certainly be breaking into the 10′s very shortly.
Stay tuned as we continue to push the performance of Mercedes latest powerhouse.
We had a very successful 2008, winning the Mercedes-Benz GLK tuner build-off at SEMA, introducing a new website in July, welcoming new dealers to the fold, and more! All the same, 2009 is going to be EVEN BETTER …
2009 marks RENNTECH’s 20th year in business – and we’ll be hosting a few events and launching a few new models in the coming months to celebrate the last 20 years, and also to take a look back at some of the projects that have established RENNTECH as the world’s premier Mercedes-Benz performance tuner.
Thank you for visiting our site and – from everyone at RENNTECH – have a happy new year!

John Neff writes: We’ve seen so many spy shots of the upcoming 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class that these official images hardly move us. Yet here they are, (grainy) images leaked onto the web that reportedly reveal the final production form of the 2010 E-Class, which makes its official debut in January.

German car magazine Autozeitung is claiming to have the first official photo of the next-generation Mercedes E-Class in its latest September issue. According to Autozeitung, the above image has not been digitally enhanced in any way – and until someone provides substantial proof otherwise, we have no reason to doubt them.
Earlier this month, online bloggers posted photos that showed drivers Mika Häkkinen and Klaus Ludwig testing the new 2010 Mercedes E-Class. eMercedesBenz posted some new “spy video” showing the pair in action.

MB’s E63 AMG is still under development according to these latest spy shots taken by WCF’s photographers at the Nurburgring. It still carries a good bit of camo, but there won’t be many surprises in the styling department after Mercedes’ Concept FASCINATION reveal (covered HERE).
We’ll have to wait and see what changes AMG have made to the E’s running gear.
Edmunds.com recently posted video of what appears to be an E63 mule outside of the Nurburgring. The narrator speculates a bit as to what engine is underhood during the video, but comments on the Edmunds site about a supercharged version of the 6.3 AMG engine are probably unwarranted.
